Bowe returns to practice, but proceed with caution

Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe returned to practice on Thursday, but should he return to your fantasy rosters this week?

Though call.

Bowe missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury and his status could remain in doubt all the way until Sunday morning. Then there’s the Giants’ top-ranked pass defense and shutdown CB Corey Webster out to make your fantasy life miserable.

You would have a better chance of seeing Colts QB Peyton Manning turn down an endorsement opportunity than a big day from Bowe.

But Bowe is still the No. 1 receiver in Kansas City. He’s scored a touchdown in the two games he played, and figures to get a lot of targets — particularly in the red zone.

This is one of those situations where you hope Chiefs coach Todd Haley takes the decision out of your hands and keeps him inactive this week, too. I have Bowe in two leagues — I’m likely starting him in my 12-team league, but keeping him on the bench in my 10-team league. Unless you have an embarrassment of riches at receiver, you should probably (begrudgingly) start him.
