While Seahawks coach Jim Mora says Matt Hasselbeck is making progress from a broken rib, the quarterback is still suffering effects from the Week 2 hit that forced him to miss last week’s game against the Bears.
Mora said at his Wednesday press conference that Hasselbeck hasn’t resumed running yet and still has pain when he takes deep breaths. Mora said Hasselbeck will not practice Wednesday, but he hasn’t ruled his quarterback out to play Sunday at Indianapolis.
In other injury updates provided by Mora:
- Pro Bowl LB Lofa Tatupu, suffering from a nagging hamstring injury that kept him out of the Bears game last week, will be limited in practice on Wednesday and could play against the Colts.
- Nine-time Pro Bowl LT Walter Jones will get a couple days of rest this week. Jones, who had knee surgery last month and returned to practice full-time last week, still has pain in the knee but hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday.
