One second you’re worried about Pierre Thomas … the next minute he’s rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

Thomas, who was on the low end of the carry totals for the Saints earlier in the afternoon, has broken out with some big runs, including a 34-yard touchdown scamper. He now has 14 carries, one ahead of Reggie Bush’s 13, while Lynell Hamilton has just five rushing attempts.

Based on the fact that Thomas was taken in one of the first four rounds in most drafts, this performance is a great sign for owners.

Oh, and those of you who own Drew Brees, well, at least you had two strong weeks to start the season! Despite facing the league’s 31st-ranked pass defense, the great Brees has been held without a touchdown pass.
