Haynesworth back; Manuel, Smith injured for Lions

A good bit of news for the Redskins in their game against the Lions today: Injured DT Albert Haynesworth has returned.

Haynesworth was carted off the field during the second quarter with what the Redskins later announced as a right hip injury. But he has been on the field for several plays during the secondĀ half against the Lions, a good sign that the injury isn’t serious.

The Lions have suffered two injuries during the second half. Starting SS Marquand Manuel came up holding his lower left leg during the Redskins’ second drive of the half. Starting RB Kevin Smith was shaken up after a run late in the quarter, and trainers appeared to be checking his right shoulder. Smith hasn’t returned and has been replaced by rookie RB Aaron Brown and Maurice Morris.
