The latest guest on NFL Network’s Around The League was Saints safety Darren Sharper, who joined host Alex Flanagan today.
Sharper weighed in on his first two games with the Saints, why teammate Drew Brees is playing the best of any quarterback in the NFL and his 97-yard interception return against the Eagles last weekend.
“It was very tiring,” Sharper said about the play. “I don’t think I ran that far even in my offseason workouts.”
You’ll notice in the video that the last player chasing Sharper was Eagles QB Kevin Kolb.
“I made one guy miss and then I saw Kevin Kolb trailing me,” Sharper said. “I was like, ‘If I let this quarterback catch me, I’m not going to hear the end of it.’ So I tried to pull every bit of energy out to try to outrun the quarterback.”
