Hardwick expected to miss eight weeks after surgery

Chargers starting center Nick Hardwick underwent surgery on his left ankle today and is expected to miss eight weeks, the team announced.

Hardwick injured the ankle during the Chargers’ season-opening victory over the Raiders. Scott Mruczkowski started in place of Hardwick last week against the Ravens.
