The Giants are preparing to be without defensive linemen Chris Canty and Justin Tuck in Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, according to league sources.

Tuck has a shoulder injury that almost certainly will keep him out at least a week, though he has yet to be ruled out. Canty missed last week’s game with a calf injury – the first game he has missed in his career – and is very doubtful to play this weekend, according to sources. Canty has yet to be cleared to practice, though he is making progress.

The Giants believe both injuries will be short term.
