I can hear it now.

“Fabiano, you had Matt Forte ranked second overall in the preseason. He’s been awful, I’m trading him!”

My response, “What do you want — I’ll take him.”

Yes, Forte is off to a dreadful start. He was almost invisible in last week’s loss to the Packers, and he’s done nothing against the Steelers this afternoon. But in my opinion, now is the time to trade FOR him.

Over the next few weeks, Forte faces the Seahawks (who are currently getting abused by Frank Gore), Lions (need I say more?), Bengals, Browns and Cardinals. When he starts to turn it around (and he will, trust me), then would be the time to DEAL him, when his value is back at a high level.

Why trade him then, you ask?

Well, Forte face the Ravens and Vikings in the final two weeks of the fantasy postseason.
