Atlanta Falcons kick returner and backup running back Jerious Norwood suffered a head injury during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers and won’t return. Norwood was injured during a 6-yard run, and spent the rest of the half watching from the sideline.
The Falcons have turned to RB Jason Snelling as the primary backup for starter Michael Turner. Snelling caught his first career TD pass during the second quarter from Matt Ryan.
