Eagles RB Westbrook might be sidelined for Week 3

Eagles running back Brian Westbrook suffered a sprained right ankle in today’s loss to the Saints, but he hopes he’ll be able to play next week.

He had his ankle taped in the third quarter and finished with just 52 yards rushing on 13 attempts. Westbrook, who says the ankle feels sore, had surgery to remove scar tissue and bone fragments from the ankle back in June.

If he’s unavailable to face the Chiefs, rookie LeSean McCoy would get the start and be a viable No. 2 fantasy back.
