Chargers DT Williams out for season with elbow injury

The Chargers announced that they have placed Jamal Williams on season-ending injured reserve, leaving them with Ogemdi Nwagbuo as the only defensive tackle on the roster.

Williams, who suffered an elbow injury in Monday night’s victory over the Raiders, has been a Chargers starter since 2000. He joined the team in 1998 as a second-round pick in the supplemental draft out of Oklahoma State.

The Chargers signed DE Andre Coleman from the practice squad to fill Williams’ roster spot.
