The NFL fined Chargers QB Philip Rivers $7,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct in Monday night’s victory over the AFC West rival Raiders, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.
Rivers was penalized 15 yards for taunting Raiders DT Gerard Warren in the third quarter of the game.
Other fines handed out this week:
- Rams OL Richie Incognito: $12,500 for two personal-foul penalties picked up against the Seahawks.
- Eagles OLs Stacey Andrews and Jamaal Jackson, TEs Brent Celek and Alex Smith, and WRs DeSean Jackson and Kevin Curtis: $10,000 each for unsportsmanlike conduct against the Panthers (participating in a prohibited demonstration).
- Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson: $10,000 for unnecessary roughness. The league deemed that Wilson unnecessarily struck 49ers TE Vernon Davis on a pass play during Sunday’s game in Arizona.
- Giants CB Corey Webster and Redskins WR Santana Moss: $5,000 for striking each other in the head area during Sunday’s game at New York.
