Giants’ Ross, Canty ruled out vs. Cowboys

As expected, Giants CB Aaron Ross will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury.

The Giants also will be without the services of DE Chris Canty, as NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reported Thursday. Canty strained his calf during practice Wednesday and will miss a game for the first time in his five-year NFL career. Unfortunately for him, it comes against his former team, the Cowboys.

The Giants’ defense could be further depleted if S Kenny Phillips (knee) and CB Kevin Dockery (hamstring) can’t go. Both are listed as questionable to face the Cowboys.
