Colts to sign former Eagles WR Baskett

Veteran WR Hank Baskett, who was released by the Eagles on Tuesday, has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Colts, according to his agent.

Baskett is expected to sign the contract this morning and practice with the Colts today.

Baskett was waived by the Eagles to make room for QB Michael Vick‘s activation off the exempt list. The Colts, meanwhile, need help at wide receiver after starter Anthony Gonzalez suffered a strained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in a season-opening victory over the Jaguars.

Gonzalez could be back by the second week in October, according to a source close to the player.
