Still start WR Bowe with QB Cassel out

Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe remains a fantasy must-start this week, even with QB Matt Cassel out. NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that QB Brodie Croyle is likely to start against the Ravens. A daunting task for a quarterback who is 0-8 as a starter during his career.
Still, expect the Chiefs quarterback, no matter who it is, to lock in on Bowe. Hopefully Croyle will develop tunnel vision for Bowe much like Broncos QB Jay Cutler only looked at WR Brandon Marshall at the beginning of last season. Hey, it is not like the Chiefs have many options.
- Texans WR Kevin Walter is inactive today, meaning that WR Andre Davis will start against the Jets. QB Matt Schaub is starting.
- Jets rookie RB Shonn Greene is inactive for today’s game. A mild surprise considering some — well, me — feared that coach Rex Ryan would use a running back rotation similar to the maddening situation that the Ravens used last year. This is good news for RB Thomas Jones, who should get the goal-line carries now. RB Leon Washington should be in the mix, too.
- Bengals WR Chris Henry is active against the Broncos and could be a nice sleeper with QB Carson Palmer also starting. The Bengals could be a team to watch, both in fantasy and real life.
- The Broncos will start QB Kyle Orton, but explore other options if possible.
