The Vikings have waived QB John David Booty, league sources told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.
Booty, a fifth-round pick from USC in 2008, was stuck behind Brett Favre, Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels on the quarterback depth chart.
La Canfora also reports that the Packers will waive QB Brian Brohm, a second-round pick out of Louisville in 2008. He struggled throughout the preseason, throwing three interceptions and finishing with a 54.5 passer rating.
Starter Aaron Rodgers and backup Matt Flynn are the two quarterbacks on Green Bay’s roster.
The Packers also announced that they put 2007 first-round pick DT Justin Harrell on injured reserve, ending his season.
