Redskins to sign QB Daniel to practice squad

Contrary to a published report, the Washington Redskins do plan to sign QB Chase Daniel to the practice squad. Daniel, who was signed as a rookie free agent, will be among the team’s cuts – and QB Colt Brennan is going on IR – but he impressed the coaches with his production, intellect and work ethic in the preseason and the team intends to sign him to the practice squad, according to a team source.
