Cribbs is a go for Browns in Week 1

Josh Cribbs, the Browns’ Pro Bowl return man, had been contemplating sitting out the first game after attempts to bolster his contract were unsuccessful this offseason, but he’s virtually certain to play now, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Cribbs, who is competing to be a starting wide receiver, run the Wildcat offense and also get reps at defensive back, had an excellent preseason, and talks between his representatives and the Browns are ongoing, according to sources. Those conversations haven’t resulted in a new deal, but the tenor has been positive, and barring a bizarre change of some sort, there are no plans for a holdout.
