Lions adding more QBs

As I reported earlier this afternoon, the Lions claimed QB Kevin O’Connell on waivers today and signed free agent Brooks Bollinger. It doesn’t appear likely that Daunte Culpepper will play Thursday, and the team needs arms to aid rookie Matthew Stafford, the team’s only healthy quarterback right now.
The Lions, after going 0-16 last season, had the first crack at waiver guys. Denver and Kansas City both had interest in O’Connell, and both have injured quarterbacks (Denver actually has both its top two passers out). The Broncos and Chiefs are familiar with O’Connell from his time with the Patriots. I wouldn’t rule out a trade after the Lions get all of their quarterbacks healthy.
