Veteran WR Amani Toomer has not been used much lately since signing with Kansas City, and a source close to the player believes there is a strong probability he could among the Chiefs’ cuts today.

The Chiefs are looking for speedy receivers and could part with Toomer, a longtime New York Giant, just a few weeks after signing him. Toomer has good hands and could help a team in the possession game. Several teams have been keeping an eye on receivers lately. It may take an injury or two early in the season for Toomer to find another club — should he be let go.
