According to league sources, Dolphins DBs Sean Smith and Jason Allen are sick and not expected to play Saturday night against the Panthers. However, sources close to the situation said they don’t believe either player has swine flu, as some reports have said.
Smith has been cleared to begin practicing Monday, according to his agent, David Canter.
The Dolphins aren’t saying much, but a representative said two players are sick and being tested for swine flu, but results aren’t known at this point. The results of a swine flu test generally take 48 hours.
When those results are in, the Dolphins will not release them, given the personal nature of such information.
