Favre on the Metrodome field in Vikings purple

MINNEAPOLIS — Introduced by the customary Viking horn, Brett Favre took the field at 6:20 p.m. local time, with fellow Minnesota QBs Tarvaris Jackson and John David Booty. Sage Rosenfels won’t play in tonight’s preseason game against the Chiefs because of an ankle injury.

Favre was greeted with moderate fanfare because the Metrodome was about one-fifth full at the time. He spent five minutes throwing the ball to Jackson and Booty, who gave Favre his No. 4 jersey and is now sporting No. 9.
