The 49ers have agreed to terms with CB Eric Green on a one-year contract, according to league sources, and he will sign it tomorrow, pending a physical.
Green was released by the Dolphins earlier today in a somewhat surprising move because the team hadn’t signed him that long ago.
The 49ers have been looking for cornerback help for several weeks since veteran Walt Harris was lost for the season (and possibly for good) with a knee injury, and they expressed immediate interest in Green, sources said.
Green spent four seasons with the Cardinals, starting 33 games, then signed a two-year contract with the Dolphins in March with the expectation that he would be a starter. The 49ers were one of several teams to express interest in Green during free agency.
