Do not panic America, Brett Favre, took the practice field at the Vikings’ Winter Park practice facility wearing his familiar No. 4 jersey. The former No. 4 — backup QB John David Booty — has switched to No. 9.

Check the Vikings practice facility in the near future to see if Booty is driving a new car or wearing a new watch as a result of making the switch.

Favre walked through a throng of media in shoulder pads and shorts, as were the rest of the Vikings. He shook hands with several coaches and teammates, including LBs Ben Leber and Chad Greenway, and G Steve Hutchinson, before beginning warm ups and stretching. QB Sage Rosenfels, wearing a baseball cap and no pads, doesn’t appear to be practicing today.
