The Baltimore Ravens have signed quarterback Cleo Lemon to a one-year deal, according to a league source.
After working out for the Ravens on Saturday, Lemon was at Sunday’s practice.
Behind second-year starter Joe Flacco, the Ravens have a crop of young quarterbacks on the roster. Lemon, a five-year veteran with eight career starts, was brought in when John Beck, the third quarterback, went down with a shoulder injury.
Beck’s MRI showed a slight muscle or ligament strain/sprain, but nothing torn, according to a league source. The Ravens believe there is no broken collarbone, but no X-rays were taken. A more specific timetable for Beck’s return should be available in a matter of days, when he is re-evaluated.
Lemon recently worked out for the Patriots and played previously for Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron in Miami.
