The Nashville City Paper reports that the Titans first-round pick Kenny Britt was on the field with the special teams unit returning punts.
“I’ve been catching punts since I was in Pop Warner,” Britt said. “I was the backup at Rutgers, but they just never put me in there, because they didn’t want me to get hurt. I practiced every day, just in case somebody got hurt.”
The rookie wide receiver said that he approached coaches about returning punts for his new team.
“I always wanted to do it in college, but they wouldn’t let me. I actually asked them [to let me],” Britt said. “As long as I keep on coming out there, they’ll probably give me a shot.” More…
