Bills’ Owens absent from practice with toe injury

Terrell Owens was absent from the Bills’ morning walkthrough, two days after he complained of a sore toe following the club’s preseason opener in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game. Owens confirmed his injury on his Twitter page. He had two receptions for 27 yards in his debut for the Bills, playing in only one series.

Bills coach Dick Jauron confirmed that Owens was excused from practice, but did not elaborate. He is expected to meet with the media after the team’s night practice session.
