Bud Adams and Ralph Wilson, pioneers and founding fathers of the AFL, just shared a few minutes together … and then Mr. Adams started dancing in the end zone.
Swear. Word to your mother.
The owner of the Tennessee Titans was flat-out getting down. He had some disco pointing going on. Hips were shaking. It was wild.
The crowd in this corner of Fawcett Stadium was going nuts. When the music stopped for some pregame intros we were all bummed. Mr. Adams was rocking a colorful shirt with blue slacks and a red jacket, and he definitely had swag.
I turned to the guys in the crowd behind us, and they agreed that it was a tour de force. “He was getting down,” the dude in the Michael Irvin jersey behind me concurred.
Adams was born in 1923. He is 86 years old. I can’t imagine anything else in this stadium topping that, not even T.O. That was awesome.
