Threat of rain is looming

Folks at the Pro Football Hall of Fame are proud of the fact that their annual enshrinement ceremony has never been a washout due to rain. Not that they can control that sort of thing, but it’s an impressive streak nonetheless.
A little over three hours before this year’s ceremony is set to begin, the threat of rain appears as menacing as the appearance of Bruce Smith or Derrick Thomas rushing the quarterback. It’s a light rain right now.
Hall officials here in the media workroom said the forecast calls for clearing skies, and they don’t appear worried. But it could pour any minute. And considering the streak of dry weather, you’ve got to figure it’s due.
