A Hall of Fame green room

CANTON, Ohio — The inductees and their presenters have congregated in the green room offstage, where they’re getting a run-through of Saturday’s ceremony.

Consider it the hurry-up-and-wait before the show.

Each inductee is seated with his presenter behind him. Ralph Wilson and his presenter, Chris Berman. Randall McDaniel and O.K. Fulton. Bob Hayes Jr. and Roger Staubach. Rod Woodson and Tracy Foster, his childhood friend. Then Derrion Thomas and Carl Peterson.

A few minutes ago, they were comparing notes on their upcoming speeches. Rod has his neatly hand-written, double-spaced, on lined paper. The kind you used in your Trapper Keeper in grade school. I think there were 11 pages. Rich Eisen immediately took a picture of it with his Blackberry and presumably tweeted it. Rod’s presenter, Tracy, had a few notes written down on the hotel notepad paper. Staubach has his notes written on notecards.
