NFL, other leagues, not happy with Delaware ruling

The NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NCAA are opposed to a new gambling lottery in Delaware that would allow people to wager on individual NFL games. The leagues banded together to fight the lottery, believing the lottery should be limited to making bets on three games or more at a time, and hoped to get an injunction from a judge to block the start of the lottery until the lawsuit filed by the leagues has been resolved.
The trial is scheduled for Dec. 7, obviously well after the start of the NFL season.
Kenneth Nachbar, the counsel for the pro leagues and the NCAA in this case, released the following statement:
“We continue to oppose more legalized gambling on our games and we are evaluating our options.”
