The Falcons are suddenly thin at wide receiver.
Second-year WR Harry Douglas suffered an apparent left knee injury and was carted off the practice field after he was unable to walk on his own.
Meanwhile, Pro Bowl WR Roddy White continued his contract holdout, and Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said he’s not optimistic that a deal will be made before the season starts.
“We want him to be here, and with the way the negotiations are going to this point, this may be something we need to readdress at the end of the season,” Dimitroff said, according to The Associated Press. “As we all know, Roddy is under contract, and he would have to play at his current contract.”
