Steelers coach holding back veterans

One of the perks of being a Super Bowl winner — other than being in the new Madden commercial — is getting some extra time off during training camp. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is giving some of his veterans that led his team to a Super Bowl XLIII victory some time off.

RB Willie Parker ran wind sprints in practice. WR Hines Ward has practiced once, while S Troy Polamalu is getting plenty of rest during the early days of training camp.
