Leinart fighting for job at camp

Cardinals QB Matt Leinart is fighting for his job. And not the starting quarterback job, either. The Associated Press is reporting that Leinart is locked in a battle with Brian St. Pierre for the No. 2 quarterback spot behind starting QB Kurt Warner.
Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt, however, is not buying that angle. Instead saying that the writers need to get new material.
- “To be talking about a competition at the second-team quarterback to me just means there’s not a whole lot else going on,” he said, “because nobody talks about the battles for the second-team running back or the second-team linebacker and there’s no difference in my eyes.”
