Bills close to deals with Wood, Byrd

First-round draft pick Eric Wood, a center from Louisville, is expected to sign a contract with the Bills tonight or tomorrow, according to a league source. The Bills also are believed to be getting close to a deal with second-round pick Jairus Byrd, a cornerback from Oregon.
If the Bills can sign Wood and Byrd, only their top pick — former Penn State DE Aaron Maybin – would be missing from camp by tomorrow afternoon.
