Embattled Broncos WR Brandon Marshall has reported to the team’s training camp, NFL Network’s Michelle Beisner confirmed. Marshall showed up with the rookies, quarterbacks and injured players for the Broncos’ unofficial start to training camp.
Marshall requested a trade from the Broncos earlier in the offseason after a meeting with owner Pat Bowlen. Marshall reportedly wants to rework the $2.198 million salary left on his contract. The wide receiver walked out of the meeting with Bowlen carrying several boxes of his stuff, and he skipped the team’s voluntary workouts.
Marshall even posted a note on his Web site on June 16, and it read like a goodbye letter to the city of Denver and Broncos fans.
The Broncos officially begin training camp on Friday with full-squad practices scheduled for 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. local time.
