What I’m working on for NFL Total Access tonight

With the latest update from Nashville police culminating in Steve McNair‘s death being part of a murder-suicide, we will continue to reflect on the former quarterback’s career. Former tight end Frank Wycheck took me back to what it was like to be with McNair on gameday mornings and inside the huddle.

  • Oakland quarterback JaMarcus Russell has taken some heat during his short career, but what he’s being doing covertly this week will have Raider fans feeling good.
  • We’ll look at the franchise tag situation, and one case where it does not appear a long-term deal will take place.
  • If franchise tagged defensive ends Terrell Suggs and Julius Peppers do get long-term deals, which end could be next to in line to cash in?
  • And, from a fantasy standpoint, are there a couple of big name Baltimore Ravens who might not be worth the risk?
