Draft day in May (and other important dates)

As many of you know, with the Super Bowl taking place later this season, everything else on the league calendar will move back as well.
The NFL circulated a list of key dates to all general managers, coaches and player personnel directors a few weeks back and, according to the memo, the 2010 NFL Draft is tentatively scheduled for May 1-2. Figured I’d pass along some other key dates as well as we all count down the days until players report for training camp in late July and we finally get started on our football fix again:
July 15 – Deadline to sign players with a franchise tag to a new contract or an extension (huge date for Terrell Suggs and Julius Peppers, in particular).
July 16 – Supplemental draft
Sept. 1 – Rosters must be trimmed to 75 players
Sept. 5 – Rosters must be trimmed to 53 players (by 6 p.m. ET)
Sept. 9 – All teams must be under the 2009 salary cap by 4 p.m. ET, with the Top 51 rule expiring at midnight
Oct. 20 – Trading deadline (4 p.m. ET)
Nov. 17 – Deadline to sign any unsigned draft picks (after this point, they lose the right to play in 2009)
Jan. 30, 2010 – Pro Bowl
Feb. 7 – Super Bowl XLIV
Feb. 24-March 2 – NFL Scouting Combine
March 5 – Start of free agency and trading period
