Vikings work on Wildcat with rookie WR Harvin

When the Minnesota Vikings selected WR Percy Harvin in the first round of this year’s draft, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell immediately added a few pages to the playbook in order to accommodate the talented wideout.

On Saturday, during the Vikings’ morning practice session, the team revealed one way Harvin might be used this season.

According to the Star-Tribune, Harvin lined up at quarterback as the team experimented with the Wildcat offense that the Miami Dolphins successfully utilized last season.

“We’re up there trying to diagram everything we can,” Bevell said. “We’re looking at things we do, we’re looking at things other teams have done and trying to get the ball to our playmakers.”
