Saints owner Benson pitches for 2013 Super Bowl

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson held a breakfast gathering with the media Tuesday morning to push his region’s bid for the 2013 Super Bowl.

“It’s my job to present that New Orleans is not coming back — We back,” he exclaimed in his Louisiana dialect.

New Orleans is bidding with South Florida and Arizona for the 2013 Super Bowl. Committees from each area will present their cases to team owners this afternoon here at the annual NFL Spring Meeting.

An announcement is expected around 4:30 p.m. ET. The Super bowl is scheduled to be played in South Florida this season; Dallas the following season and then in Indianapolis in 2012.
