Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin, Minnesota’s first-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, was hospitalized in Atlanta on Thursday with extreme dehydration, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Coach Brad Childress made the announcement after Harvin missed the first day of Minnesota’s three-day rookie minicamp on Friday. Harvin was on his way to the camp, but his flight from Florida to Minnesota had a layover in Atlanta, where he became ill. He is expected to be hospitalized for 24 to 48 hours and will not participate in the rookie camp.
