Veteran CB Fisher says Lions have cut him

Veteran CB Travis Fisher told the Detroit Free Press that he has been released by the Lions:

“It kind of surprised me, especially what I showed them in minicamp,” Fisher said. “But it’s all good.”

Fisher, a seven-year NFL veteran, spent the last two seasons with the Lions. He started 21 games and had two interceptions with Detroit, but he failed to pick off a pass in eight starts last season.
