Biggest need or best player available? You don’t have to wonder which school of thought to which the Broncos subscribe.
Already brimming with running backs, Denver made a stunning selection by drafting Georgia RB Knowshon Moreno with the No. 12 overall selection.
The Broncos signed J.J. Arrington, Correll Buckhalter and LaMont Jordan during the offseason. And Peyton Hillis, Ryan Torain, Selvin Young and Andrew Pinnock also are on the roster. To be fair to the Broncos, Hillis and Pinnock are listed as fullbacks. Still, that makes the Moreno selection even more puzzling.
Many expected the Broncos to address their defense, which ranked 29th in the NFL last season. The Broncos drafted Tennessee DE Robert Ayers with the No. 18 overall selection.
