Redskins working on extension for McIntosh

The Washington Redskins began contract extension talks with LB Rocky McIntosh on Thursday morning. McIntosh is due to receive $535,000 in 2009, which is the final year of the contract he signed as a rookie in 2006.

McIntosh, 27, was a second-round draft pick in 2006, and he became a starter for the Redskins in 2007. Last season, he was second on the Redskins’ defense with 87 tackles, adding two sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.
