USC QB Mark Sanchez, a fast-rising draft prospect pegged to go in the first round Saturday, told the world about his private workout with the Broncos on his Twitter page:

Had a great workout in OC with QB coach Bob Johnson. Headed up to Staples for Lakers vs. Jazz, Game 2.

Sanchez worked out at his alma mater, Mission Viejo High School, in Orange County, Calif., with Johnson, his former coach and the father of ex-NFL QB Rob Johnson. The Broncos, who have two first-round picks (Nos. 12 and 18), were supposed to be represented by general manager Brian Xanders and offensive coordinator Mike McCoy at the workout. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels didn’t plan to attend because of an illness.

Sanchez has close to 2,000 people following him on his Twitter page (look for NFL.com’s Twitter page during the draft).

And for those of you who are skeptical about whether or not this is Sanchez’s actual Twitter page, check out one of his posts from yesterday. Sanchez said the chicken panini served at The Huddle at NFL Network headquarters was “NICE.” And if you have spent any time at the facility in Culver City, you know that’s totally accurate.
