LSU WR, draft prospect Byrd in intensive care

The Shreveport Times is reporting that LSU WR and NFL draft prospect Demetrius Byrd is in intensive care at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after he was involved in a car accident on Sunday. LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette confirmed the report.

Byrd has been training for the NFL Draft this weekend. He was a key member on LSU’s 2007 national championship team and had 37 receptions for 513 yards and four touchdowns in 2008.
