Packers safety Bigby signs $1.545 million tender

Packers safety Atari Bigby signed his free-agent tender of $1.545 million on Friday,’s Steve Wyche reports.

Bigby, who was a restricted free agent, appeared in just seven games for Green Bay in 2008 and finished the season on injured reserve because of a shoulder ailment. He started all 16 games for the Packers in 2007 and had career highs in interceptions (five) and tackles (86).

Bigby went undrafted out of Central Florida in 2005, but he signed with the Dolphins as a free agent. He eventually landed with the Packers later in his rookie season and worked his way up from practice-squad player to eventual starter.
