Lions have yet to finalize draft board

The Lions haven’t settled on a No. 1 pick yet (at least not publicly), still choosing between QB Matthew Stafford, LT Jason Smith and LB Aaron Curry. Coach Jim Schwartz told the Detroit Free Press that the Lions will start settling on their draft board this week. No rush guys, but the draft is next weekend.
- “You don’t start at the top,” Schwartz said. “You go by positions usually. Generally what you do is you start by positions. You’ll go through there, and then once all the positions are done, then you’ll start going line by line.”
- When will they do that?
- “Probably later this week that will sort of start,” Schwartz said. “A little bit of it has been done, simply because you stack the positions.”
The Lions would like to have their first-round pick signed before the draft starts. Be sure to check out NFL.com’s Mock Draft Central to see what our experts are projecting.
