Chiefs add veteran linebacker Thomas

The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a deal with seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker Zach Thomas, reports the Kansas City Star.

Thomas, a 13-year veteran,  started in 14 games for the Dallas Cowboys last season, recording 94 tackles and one sack. He joins Mike Vrabel as the second veteran linebacker acquired by the Chiefs this offseason.

More from the Star:

With the Chiefs looking to play the 3-4 defense next season, Thomas is a probable starter at one inside linebacker position. Vrabel will start at one of the outside positions.
