Patriots DE Ty Warren told the Boston Globe that he expects to be ready for training camp in July after undergoing double groin surgery in January. Warren had surgery to repair muscles on his left and right sides while also having a procedure to fix a sports hernia, according to the Globe:

“I’m approaching it like I’m going to be ready, and I think I will be,” said Warren, who missed three games with the left groin injury last year and was able to gut out four other games, including the final three of the season, at substantially less than 100 percent.
“I can’t really tell you anything outside of what’s going to happen today, but I would say so. I’m taking the approach that I’ll be able to do some things in mini-camp [in June]. Hopefully, I’m doing something then. Now, to what extent they allow me to do it and say I need to do something that I don’t know, but I’m taking that approach. That’s just how I feel, that’s my thoughts from my mouth. You heard it from the horse’s mouth.”

Warren was a first-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2003. Injuries caused Warren to play in just 13 games in 2008, his lowest number since his rookie season.
